Yahye is responsible for leading comprehensive research, policy analysis, and development strategies aimed at enhancing cooperative governance and market integration for pastoralist communities.

Yahye’s role involves conducting in-depth reviews of legal, social, and economic frameworks, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring inclusive participation from marginalized groups. Yahye will collaborate across sectors such as sustainability, economics, and gender studies to develop policies that foster cooperative growth and sustainable market practices. Additionally, he manages complex, multidisciplinary projects, navigating diverse challenges to deliver impactful results for the communities served.

Yahye brings a wealth of experience in conducting in-depth research and policy analysis, with his work published in renowned journals such as The Lancet Journal of Public Health and The British Journal of Public Health. As a former Research Associate with the UK Department of Education, he conducted comprehensive reviews of existing laws and policies, utilizing qualitative methods to recommend impactful reforms. His expertise in policy review aligns with the DRIVE Project’s need for thorough legal and policy assessments to enhance cooperative governance and market integration.

Yahye’s role as a key collaborator on sustainability research at King’s Business School demonstrates his ability to work across diverse teams and engage with stakeholders effectively. His experience in organizing consultations and workshops for projects, particularly with a focus on inclusive participation, will be invaluable for the DRIVE Project. Yahye’s background in gender studies and women’s health, gained from his work with the GSST Women’s Health ARC and the MAPS research group, equips him to develop policies that consider the needs of marginalized groups, ensuring their voices are heard in cooperative development efforts.
