Buyer-Seller Introductions
Connecting African supply with international markets
We provide commercial advisory and carefully scoped introductions between African suppliers and prospective buyers in European and Asian markets, including China. Our sector focus includes agricultural products, fisheries, minerals and responsibly sourced precious stones such as emeralds. We also advise organisations seeking to understand and access East African markets.
How We Assist
Cross-border market and introduction advisory
Each engagement is defined by the product, target market, commercial objective and the regulatory, logistical and responsible-sourcing requirements that may apply.
Opportunity and market assessment
Clarifying the product, commercial objective, target market, buyer profile and practical conditions required for a credible market approach.
Agricultural product introductions
Supporting market access and prospective buyer introductions for suitable agricultural products, subject to quality, traceability and export requirements.
Fisheries market introductions
Advising fisheries suppliers on prospective routes to market and introducing relevant commercial parties where product, handling and compliance expectations align.
Minerals and precious stones
Providing advisory support and prospective buyer introductions for responsibly sourced minerals and precious stones, including emeralds, subject to satisfactory provenance and applicable trade controls.
East African market access
Helping overseas organisations understand East African commercial conditions, routes to market, potential counterparties and practical entry considerations.
Counterparty and meeting coordination
Identifying potentially relevant parties, arranging preliminary discussions and helping clients organise the commercial information needed for an informed exchange.
Our Approach
Structured introductions, independent decisions
Our role is to improve access to relevant information and commercial contacts. Each party remains responsible for its own assessment, professional advice and transaction decision.
Define
We establish the product, target market, intended counterparty and scope of the advisory engagement.
Prepare
We review the available commercial information and identify material gaps in presentation, provenance or market readiness.
Introduce
Where appropriate, we facilitate an initial introduction between parties whose stated interests appear potentially aligned.
Coordinate
We support preliminary communication and signpost independent legal, technical, customs or regulatory advice where required.
Who We Work With
Advice across both sides of the market
We work with suppliers seeking credible international market access and with overseas organisations considering commercial opportunities in East Africa.
- African producers and exporters seeking prospective buyers in Europe and Asia
- European, Asian and Chinese businesses seeking suitable African supply relationships
- Agricultural and fisheries enterprises preparing for cross-border commercial discussions

Scope of service
Nurmen Consulting acts solely as a commercial adviser and introducer. We do not act as buyer, seller, commercial agent, commodity broker, investment adviser, customs agent or transaction guarantor. We do not take custody of goods or transaction funds, authenticate products, certify provenance, provide valuations or conduct legal or technical due diligence. Introductions involving minerals or precious stones proceed only where the parties can provide information appropriate to responsible sourcing, beneficial ownership, provenance, licensing, sanctions and applicable import or export controls. Each party must undertake its own checks and obtain independent legal, tax, technical, customs and regulatory advice before entering into any transaction.
